Disappointment

Did it again. I am really kicking myself in the pants about this. About two nights ago was the whole fam came over to celebrate my Grandpa's seventy fifth birthday. My Mum went crazy and made loads of food and desserts that were ridonkulous, as always! Now this is were it gets upsetting, I did not take any photos of any of the desserts that went on in those two days. She made, the night before the party, bread pudding for us for no reason but pure love obviously. When she makes it, I nearly die. It is something that I can not control myself around. For months I have been meaning to take a photo of it but failed once again. Then she made these amazing desserts that were layered with blueberries, tart lemon pudding, whipped cream and toasted coconut. Four great things came together to make something even better. Finally, my Grandpa and Jill asked me to make a chocolate dessert for company they were having over the following night. I kindly obliged because it gives me a solid reason to make a three layer, chocolate, salted caramel cake. It was delicious and beautiful.. but alas, no photos. On that note I shall say good day, I'm now off to go kick myself in the pants again.

Dear Hannah, I was a guest at your Grandpa's and Jill's house yesterday, and must tell you that your cake was FANTASTIC. It was perfected frosted, and the combination of chocolate and salty caramel was almost sinful! Your cake was the perfect finale to a tasty lunch and lovely get together for a dear friend. Thank you. Janice.

Hannah, THAT CAKE WAS UNBELIEVABLE! We had such a fun time at your Grampa Mike and Jill's and a delicious lunch but I had no idea that a get together with my old work pals was going to be a birthday celebration also. Out came your cake. Six lip- smakin' inches high and about 20 lbs. It was sooo good. You really have a talent there. And don't despair about not having a photo of it....It appears beside the birthday boy in a smilebox Jill put together. Thank you so much for that wonderful treat. Clark.
