It's Complicated

This movie is quite difficult to see if you live in the Vancouver area. The first attempt was on December 27th. There were no extensive lineups for the tickets so in my mind all was well. But apparently there were only the front rows left so my friend and I decided to do something else. Next attempt happened on December 29th and this time there was a huge line. I am talking about the entire theatre being full. There was no chance on earth that we were going to make it. Finally, I succeeded. We arrived on January 2nd to a packed theatre. Apparently people like to go out these days, insane I know, because the line was out the door. We got in our seats about two minutes before the show started and after all that trouble I had high hopes. It is as if I had built it up in the lineups.

The movie was alright. Pretty predictable. Was it really worth the struggle? Not really. Meryl Streep was good, as was the rest of the cast. John Krasinski, better known as Jim from the Office, was hilarious. His usual charming self was great to see on a big screen.
