The Apple Capital of the World

In the States, the school system often puts students who are born after August in the lower grade. Since my cousin, who is the same age, is born in October she was put in the grade below me. Turns out this is a good thing because I just got a mini-trip out of it. My cousin is crazy, mad, etc. athletic and pretty darn smart so she has been offered a few scholarships for volleyball and basketball. We don't really get to see them that often so we met them nearly halfway in.. Wenatchee!
The mountains through Stevens Pass are beauts. Reminds me of driving to my grandparents out in the Kootenays.
The essentials for such a road trip: hot tomales and Neil Diamond.
See that sky? Yeah it was hot in Wenatchee. I had this idea that it would be negative degrees. Not so. The whole snow on the mountains on the way there is very deceiving.
